Challenges facing us in 2024
Will you resolve to be part of the solution? If so, what specifically will you do?
On this last day of the year, I thank those who took the time this year to read my rambling messages. Many aging baby boomers like me can get opinionated at times. So, I appreciate those who let me vent about various subjects. I value those who leave comments or share their thoughts on the topic da jour.
Looking forward to a new year, I want to engage others in civil dialog and explore the challenges facing us in 2024.
The crisis at our border and our responsibility to provide humane treatment of migrants is, in my opinion, a responsibility of our American freedom.
Our role in helping to find an end to wars and supporting peaceful coexistence on our planet is vital if we are to remain a world leader.
The partisan divide of our elected leaders and the continuous flow of half-truths, political spin, and threats of harm further damage our society. We must vote for those who will serve the common good in ways that strengthen rather than divide.
We need the captains of industry and commerce to stand with local leaders to resolve the growing gun violence plaguing American communities, large and small. They owe it to the communities that support them and their employees impacted by violence.
We are an increasingly diverse nation, and we should celebrate rather than deny those different from us.
As we make New Year resolutions, what is one thing you can do to promote civility and peace?
