Do you think the portals provide a significant enhancement to privacy? Banks and health professionals seem to have adopted them wholesale. I hope it provides some measure of security at both ends of our messages.

Gotta laugh...even after spending my entire career as a software engineer, I am often flummoxed by these portals. No humans to talk to, save's $$$???, but raises my BP every time. I will get to work on the portal manager..

All us older folks feel your pain. Too much to even remember where we wrote it down.

Try a password manager like Dashlane or 1 Password. I made a spreadsheet with all my passwords on and can’t believe how large it is. Every time I see a new doctor, I need a password to access my account plus My Erickson to see my retirement community info. So many times I have used what I thought was my password and it is not accepted so I have to come up with a new one. Also, some sites have now added an extra layer of security which means more headaches. I feel your pain.

I have 7 medical portals alone and I am exhausted trying to secure the info they have to offer. I think I’ll just take a nap and hope they call me with an appointment!
