He is not worth even mentioning and yes, he should have been saluting them! Their stated purpose of saluting the office, not the man is a concept he can’t even comprehend. Kind of like a 8 year old third grader. Excellent observations here, Pat!

Agree. Trump dodged the draft because his father pulled some strings and got a doctor to declare that he had bone spurs. Later on he disparaged captured soldiers by calling them suckers and losers. Bone spurs never bothered him later and he still golfs weekly.

On the bright side, Trump’s recent tariff demands are weighing him down. Only 37% of Americans said they approve of tariffs. The president’s frenetic back-and- forth, declaring a trade war one day then postponing new tariffs the next, leaves voters confused according to Karl Rove in the Wall Street Journal. Maybe these apparent flip-flops were all planned by Trump but to many, it looks like cleanups on aisle six. To share one example, Trump demanded Walmart “Eat the Tariffs.” Walmart’s profit margin in April was 2.75% If it does what Mr. Trump says, it can’t break even. Unless reciprocity prevails, the president’s chaotic trade talk will badly damage Republicans in the midterms. Voters won’t blame foreign countries for higher prices or fewer goods. They’ll blame Donald Trump and the Republican Party.

As a Vietnam veteran, I am offended by everything he does. As a human being, I am offended that some Americans tolerate a criminal in the office of the President.
